Our Donors

The Forum wishes to acknowledge the support it has received from its members, partners, donors and other supporters. Our donors include:

Interchurch Organization for Development Corporation and Church in Action(ICCO/KerkinActie) based in the Netherlands

Church Development Services based in Germany (known as Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst – EED)

Rainforest Foundation Norway, based in Norway

We also acknowledge the financial contributions from The Humane Society International specifically for the legal cases.

We are indebted to these donors, without which our work would not have been possible. The Forum therefore treasures the collaborative efforts of the Forum and the donors in addressing Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) and other related issues.

We acknowledge the efforts of our members who demonstrated that the concept of SFM can be achieved in PNG. We also are grateful for the work others members and partners are doing including local and international NGOS, Community-based Organizations (CBO) and individuals. The members continue to play an important role, in disseminating useful information on the ground as well as providing input into joint positions on a number of issues including REDD, oil palm, land, mining and others. The members are in this regard considered “the legs and arms” of the Forum.

The Forum also acknowledges the tireless efforts of the Board and the staff in creating a positive image both locally and at the international scene. We pay tribute to the outgoing Board under the Chairmanship of Damien Ase, and the staff that resigned. We also acknowledge the acceptance of the new Board to be led for another three years, yet again by veteran Chairman, Kenn Mondiai. We salute his contributions to the Forum and the NGO as a whole.

We once again owe our success to out staff, donors, Board members, supporters, and individuals. Looking forward to working with you in 2011.
